Your Eternal Memories at Brisbane Festival, presented by Camerata

Your Eternal Memories presented by the adventurous Camerata, Queensland's Chamber Music ensemble explored memory and the associative role music plays in triggering or creating them. Words were very much integrated in the performances with readings, for instance, of Clive James' Dunny from his Unreliable Memoirs.

As has come to be expected from this ensemble the standard of performance nudged the rooftops across the varied playlist which fielded classical items as well as Kate Miller-Heidke's delivery of pop anthems 'Last Day on Earth' and 'Zero Gravity.'

Charismatic on stage she demonstrated her virtuosic, classically trained voice which has a wide range and is particularly strong in her upper range.

Barbara Lowing had flair as a narrator because of her great sense of rhythm and pacing and she managed to synchronise with Camerata at junctions which were nothing short of hair pin bends.
