I indulged my curiosity and purchased a large box of ‘bookies.’ In other words, ‘cookies’ but with the icing reflecting book covers. I’m taking these promotional consumables along to the next Elvis sessions and these will be for audiences to enjoy at the following upcoming author events. ‘When Horses Lead Us Home’ at Byron Bookroom, 6-7.30pm, 22 October in which Candida Baker and I are interviewing each other about our books which reference horses. 

Event at Better Read Than Dead 6.30-8pm, 29 October, where I’ll be in conversation with my visual artist partner Mostyn Bramley-Moore. Saxophonist Michael Duke, an associate professor at Sydney Conservatorium will be performing at this one. Bookings and more info here.
