I love French music and so when I was commissioned to review a recent Queensland Symphony Orchestra's Franck and Ravel Maestro Concert for ClassikON I happily said yes. 

A warm camaraderie flowed from the Queensland Performing Arts Centre stage. Not only between conductor Lionel Bringuier and soloist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet but also between the orchestral players and pianist. Of course that alone isn't enough to make a concert 'fly' but the quality of the performance was.

I had a grumble but overall a fine delivery. Was particularly glad to hear Cesar Franck's deeply emotional and theatrical Symphony in D Minor. Read my full review here.
