I've written a piece about Musica Viva's 2026 Season. It's an imaginative offering of concerts which will appeal to a broad range of audience old and young with all kinds of musical taste.
I'm keen on the Wintereisse in February at Brisbane's QPAC. Schubert's song cycle is set in the heart of a freezing European winter and Lindy Hume has directed a performance which infuses Australiana into the performance with the inclusion of the Australian artist Fred Williams' painting. I especially like the sound of Thomas Dunford, the French American so-called Eric Clapton of the lute. It's in February.
