I was recently honoured with an Author Event feature integrated with the Australian Festival of Chamber Music program I had the good fortune to be interviewed by Simon Moore from 2MBS. Before the conversation two very gifted emerging artists performed Ravel's Violin Sonata. 

At all my book events about Big Music I organise a musician or two to perform. This is because I like to explain to audiences that while high quality music performance is readily available, I wrote my debut novel Big Music to show the general public what goes on behind the concert curtain in training exceptional performers.

The author event in Stoneman's Bookroom, Castlemaine was especially memorable because many people came. Belinda Kram, a gifted dance specialist and educator fired the questions. There are many culturally interested people living in this lovely federation town including musicians, authors, dancers and artists. A few came who I had worked with at Victorian College of the Arts. My experience at the VCA as Dean inspired Big Music.
