At Brisbane Writers Festival I attended Phil Brown's launch on the 9 October at Brisbane Powerhouse. Sean Sennet was in conversation with him about his latest book published by Transit Lounge, a memoir called Confessions of a Minor Poet.

Phil is well known for his writings about other people whether they are arts celebrities, philosophers, writers or festival directors but it was a novelty and fascinating to hear him talk so candidly about his life and youth and poetic ambition. John-Paul Langbroek Queensland's Minister for Education and the Arts gave a laugh-out-loud introduction which cheered the crowd.
