I recently went to A Poet's Love, by Ensemble Q, on Monday 25 August. I enjoyed this concert and reviewed it for Limelight which you can read here. This was a treat for those who love Schumann, Artsong and French Impressionism. Ensemble Q recruits top soloists from across the world and Australia. 

A Poet's Love, by Ensemble Q, starred the German Baritone Ben Appl who was stunning in performing Schumannliebe a contemporary piece which reinvents Schumann's much-loved song cycle Dichterliebe. The vocal lines and poems by Heinrich Heine are retained but the accompaniment gets a colourful work out through imaginative orchestration. Read more here.
